About the Artist

From N.Y.C.

Rosemary grew up a couple blocks from the Metropolitan Museum of Art in the hustle and bustle of N.Y.C., spending weekends and summers in the beauty of the  seashore and countryside at the eastern tip of Long Island, N.Y. The  contrast between big city living and a rural home one-hundred miles away  was far more stark in the 1960's and 1970's than today with the  sprawling suburbs now filling the distance. In her early experience of that  contrast between city and rural life, she developed a deep sensibility to her surroundings.  Although she  gravitated toward the architectural stability of the buildings lining  the avenues and streets of N.Y.C., she yearned for the panoramic vistas  of the beaches and countryside, the soft feel of the sand and waves, the  gentler sounds of the water and chirping birds.

A summer program in art and architecture in France influenced her desire to pursue the visual arts, and she obtained her Bachelor of Arts from Kenyon College in Ohio. In the early 2000's, she focused her work in oils and pastel painting while studying with three nationally known artists in Kansas where she currently resides.

Consignment Artist for Disney

Rosemary was invited in 2011 to freelance for Disney Theme Parks and in 2013 for  Disney Cruise Line®. She paints favorite scenes, with  an emphasis on the beautiful architecture found throughout the parks.  Her originals, along with Deluxe Prints, Framed Giclees, and Giclee  Wraps reproductions are made available exclusively at Walt Disney World® Resort, Disneyland® and aboard Disney Cruise Line®.

Inspired by the beauty of her subject matter, ranging from her interest in architectural structures, to seashore scenes of beaches and sunsets, boats and wildlife, Rosemary is motivated to portray a serenity and majesty in her work.
